POSTCARD #12 FROM FAIRBANKS, ALASKA – VIEWING MUSKOX AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ALASKA FAIRBANKS ROBERT G. WHITE LARGE ANIMAL RESEARCH STATION
MUSKOX?
Okay, so you want to see a muskox! You might be able to see one in the wild by driving 450 miles north to Prudhoe Bay. However, we don’t recommend this difficult drive just to see muskox. Instead, you can see muskox right in Fairbanks at the University of Alaska Fairbanks Large Animal Research Station. The Station features muskox, but there are also reindeer and caribou to be seen. Ask the knowledgeable staff about facility tours.
The Robert G. White Large Animal Research Station is located on Yankovich Rd. a couple miles west of University Avenue.
