Greetings!
We are in Rotterdam, the Netherlands and having a fantastic time. We arrived three nights prior to our upcoming Holland America Line Africa Explorer cruise from Rotterdam all the way down to Cape Town in South Africa. But that is simply not long enough to spend exploring this fascinating city. We’ve taken in the sights, delved into the museums and dined at some fantastic restaurants. All that we know is… we want to spend way more time here. Soon!

Saturday September 27 is when we embark on our 49-day cruise – we’re beyond excited to start this epic adventure. We’ll be blogging as often as we can on WAVEJourney.com, and also posting to our social media accounts every chance we get. So, follow along on this trip as it’s bound to be absolutely fascinating – we will visit 23 ports (19 new to us).
Also, Viv is starting a series of postcards called “Last 49 Days of Being 49!”. That is bound to be a fun and interesting series.
Where will we spend Viv’s 50th birthday celebration? The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa in Cape Town – couldn’t have planned on anywhere much better than that!
