WJ Tested: Powerstep Pulse Orthotics Review
Powerstep Pulse Orthotics Description (from their website):
PULSE™ Performance Orthotics were designed specifically for use in advanced athletic shoes during rigorous athletic activity such as running. The unique design, with a built-in arch support and heel cradle, stabilizes the foot and improves alignment. This motion control, along with targeted dual-layer cushioning, helps absorb shock at impact to reduce stress on the feet, ankles and other joints. The responsive spring-like action of the polypropylene shell provides bounce back with each step.
The PULSE™ provides the perfect blend of stability and cushioning during athletic activity to simultaneously increase comfort, help reduce fatigue and improve the efficiency of your stride. These performance orthotics are also suitable for relieving pain associated with many common conditions such as plantar fasciitis, heel or arch pain and discomfort, mild to moderate overpronation, fallen arches, shin splints, muscle cramps and more. Made with pride in the USA!
Jill’s Review:
What do you get when you combine a podiatrist, foot surgeon, and runner all in one person? Someone who creates some of the best orthotics on the market! Powerstep products have been around for over 20 years. And my big question is, why did it take me so long to discover them?!
I met the crew of Powerstep at the Outdoor Retailer show in Salt Lake City earlier in August 2013. It was actually Day 2 of touring the show for me — a massive event covering acres upon acres of downtown SLC. Fortunately for me, the guys at Powerstep gave me a sample to put to work immediately. My dogs were tired from hoofing it the day before and I was in desperate need of better support in my favorite walking shoes.
Hooray for the Pulse by Powerstep! These performance orthotics allowed me to be on my feet pain-free for another 12-hour day of booth hopping. I definitely give these low-profile inserts two big toes up!
