Day 9:
We had previously signed up for the Deck Dining in the Sky Lounge (located on the Sun Deck) where we experienced a splendid meal while cruising the Danube after leaving Belgrade, Serbia. As Uniworld River Princess cruised towards Vukovar in Croatia, we had one of the most wonderful onboard dining experiences of the trip.

It wasn’t just that the grilled steak of entrecote was perfectly cooked on the grill near our table on the deck. It wasn’t just the terrific company with whom we were dining (new friends from Alberta, Canada). It wasn’t just that Restaurant Manager Alexandru Andronache ensured that all dinner guests were completely satisfied with the meal and service. And… it wasn’t just the warm breeze as the full moon rose while we cruised. It was the winning combination of all those factors that made the evening so special!

Note: Deck Dining was available to passengers on a number of evenings during the cruise, allowing the opportunity for all guests to experience dinner outdoors. A maximum of 16 passengers could be accommodated each evening, and the set menu included steak cooked on the outdoor grill. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience, especially due to the intimate service, perfect weather and witnessing the sun set as we cruised.
