Description from Pacsafe:
Lightweight, durable and secure are just a few of the words that sum up the new Venturesafe™ 25L anti-theft travel pack. Large enough for a 15” Macbook, this backpack is great for long hikes, adventures abroad and as a handy carry-on.

Anti-theft Features:

  • eXomesh® Slashguard in front, side and bottom panels
  • Slashproof adjustable shoulder straps
  • Snatchproof shoulder strap allows the bag to anchor to a secure fixture
  • Tamperproof zippers

Additional Features:

  • Zippered main compartment and front pocket
  • Side mesh fabric water bottle pockets
  • Padded adjustable shoulder straps and sternum strap
  • Padded air mesh back support
  • Side compression straps

WJ’s Review:
We’d like to see Rocky Racoon get into this backpack! Even nimble-fingered Rocky would be stumped to penetrate the zippered main compartment or zippered front pockets. The two outside mesh water bottle pockets will each hold up to a 24 oz bottle and there are a couple of places to attach extra straps for tying things on the outside.

We always look for bags that have internal organizers and this bag delivers on that! It also has a sleeve that will hold a table or small laptop (our 14″ Acer laptop squeezes in just fine).  The RFID technology is also a bonus feature that we look for – this pack has it.

Around town or up a mountain, we’re always packing:

  • Nikon D80 with lens
  • Nikon zoom lens
  • Point and shoot camera
  • Extra camera batteries and memory cards
  • Keys
  • Business cards
  • ID, credit cards
  • Pens & small notebook
  • Cell phone
  • Water bottle(s)
  • iPod Touch or Samsung Tablet
  • Laptop – 14″ Acer

All of these are items we take with us every time we leave home. There is even extra room for a rain jacket and lunch in this pack.

How comfortable is it?
The shoulder straps provide plenty of padding and comfort for this size and style of backpack. There is even a chest strap for keeping it in place. No hip belt, but we don’t really think that one is needed (even when fully packed). The mesh back support is extremely comfortable and didn’t give any sore spots.

Bottom Line:
The interior of the black bag we tested is light green, which makes it very simple to find small items that you drop in the bottom. It is stylish, sleek and great for gading about town or hiking a trail. This is a great choice for peace of mind and the perfect solution for keeping your valuables safe when travelling. Whether wandering in a crowded area, taking the subway or out for an evening stroll on La Rambla in Barcelona (slash-and-grab capitol of the world), WJ would definitely feel our belongings were safe in this pack. When travelling a slashproof and snatchproof pack is the only way to go!
