With spectacular views of South Florida’s Atlantic coast, The Blue offers a sublime dinner experience at the Boca Raton Resort & Club. Situated on the top 27th floor of the resort’s Towers building, The Blue features a well-crafted seasonal menu of modern American cuisine.

Before dinner, we stopped by The Blue Bar for drinks and to view the sunset. This relaxed lounge setting serves a diverse selection of cocktails and local craft brews, but the eye-catcher was the Claw Bar, a grand display of U-12 shrimps, king crab legs, Maine lobster, stone crabs and oysters set on ice.

Although dinner is also served in the bar and lounge, we opted for a cozy window table in the adjacent main room. We were quite impressed by the contemporary décor, which boasted soft lighting, lapis blue walls and creamy bird’s eye maple tables. Our well-informed server, Vladimer, introduced us to the menu items and recommended the chef’s signature crispy quail and waffles for starters. They certainly were unique, but we preferred the grilled seared scallops served with a golden raisin caper sauce.

We were told that Executive Chef Christie Tenaurd takes pride in using only locally grown and regional ingredients. Keeping that in mind, I ordered the pan-seared fresh red snapper. Although the emphasis is fresh seafood, my husband’s 7-oz tenderloin filet was cooked to perfection! We selected a trio of sides to go with the dinner. The grilled Portobello mushrooms, cream spinach and Parmesan red potatoes were a delicious addition.

The amazing dining experience and exceptional service are not the only reasons for us to come back to The Blue; the apple fritter donuts also left lasting memories.
