Viv’s Scottevest Women’s Travel Vest Review:
From Norway to France to Romania to Slovakia, and many other places in between, I wore the Scottevest women’s travel vest almost every single day during a two-month trip around Europe.
Along with it being a comfortable piece of my travel wardrobe, the vest worked perfectly for keeping my valuables safe and close throughout all my daily activities – at airports, on flights, taking trains, sightseeing, hiking.
The Scottevest women’s travel vest was also very helpful in keeping my carry-on luggage within the weight limits that were mandated on a number of the flights that I took.
Even when fully loaded, the vest didn’t appear terribly bulky (when it really should have!).
With varying weather conditions and outdoor temperatures ranging from mid-40s to 110+, I always felt comfortable and stylish when wearing this travel vest.
These are items I typically carried in the vest pockets:
- Panasonic Lumix digital camera, extra battery, extra memory cards
- Sunglasses
- iPod Touch with earbuds
- Notepad and pen
- RFID Wallet with ID, cash, credit cards, passports (3)
- Boarding passes, train tickets, travel documents
- House, hotel, rental car keys
- City map
- Lipstick (a gal’s gotta have her lippy)
- Hand sanitizer
- Snacks
Pros:
- Stylish
- Comfortable
- Convenient
- Not bulky
- Stain resistant
- Machine washable
- Secures valuables
- Reduces carry-on bag weight
Cons:
- Slim fitting – so best to order the next size up
- Not the most flattering fit for larger chested women (DD+)
- Limited colors available (grey, red, black) – for summer I would like to see khaki
Bottom Line:
The Scottevest women’s travel vest has become a staple in my travel wardrobe. Regardless of the number of gadgets I travel with, I find the vast number of pockets (of varying sizes) very useful for keeping my belongings organized. I know I won’t be travelling very far in the future without this vest.
Note: Scottevest provided the women’s travel vest for WAVEJourney to test and review.
