Wish You Were Here – Postcard From Chau Doc, Vietnam

What a fantastic excursion to Chau Doc, Vietnam we went on this morning. It was absolutely incredible and one of our favorite tours so far.

We left Uniworld River Orchid in speedboats and cruised along the canal and branches of the Mekong River that lead to Chau Doc.

In this area, the homes that line the river banks are on stilts so they are safe from the floods during monsoon season.

We also visited Tay An Temple at the foot of Sam Mountain, where we saw many statues, shrines, tombs and paintings.

On the way back to the ship we stopped at a fish farm and also found that quite interesting – the family lives directly above the fish (in cages under the house).

Happy Travels!
