Greetings!
Still following along with us on Facebook during our epic 109-day adventure? If you are we thank you, if not… head on over there and take a look at our travel posts from the road.
July is packed with fun travels. WAVEJourney started the month off on a CroisiEurope river cruise in Bordeaux, France. That was our first time with CroisiEurope and we were impressed by their wonderful ship (Cyrano de Bergerac), delicious food, terrific included excursions and a couple of excellent value optionals, attentive and professional crew, and brilliant itinerary. Loads more details to come once we get back to the office and start sharing photos and articles (from this and all segments of our grand adventure).

Then it was over to Scotland to visit with friends in St. Andrews for a few days – play golf, eat, drink, and celebrate Jill’s 60th!

Up next we joined YMT Vacations for their Sights of Scotland Tour starting in Edinburgh. Our guide for the tour, Mairi, was one of the very best we’ve encountered – and that’s saying a lot! The itinerary was fun, not too busy, and the sights along the way were always spectacular. Check them out for terrific value vacations of all kinds.

BTW: We got to meet Rick Steves in person while we were touring Inverary Castle in Scotland – he’s a terrific guy and one of our favorite travel gurus.
Now we’re aboard the Cunard Queen Mary 2 making a transatlantic crossing from Southampton to New York as we wrap up our trip. No posts during this cruise as we’re taking the week off from being connected.

BTW: If you are considering spending time in the Costa Brava, Spain we’d advise renting a villa with family and/or friends and spending a week or two at the luxury Mas Talaia Villa. If you want to see other luxury villas in Catalonia, take a look at those listed with Charming Villas – we recommend their services, too.
