Nico Zenner, President of Brendan Vacations, is delighted to share the news that Brendan’s affiliate and sister company, The Red Carnation Hotel Collection, has recently acquired the five-star luxury hotel Ashford Castle in the west of Ireland.
Ashford Castle has a long and rich heritage dating back to the 13th century. It was a Guinness family home from 1855 until 1939, when Ashford Castle became a First Class hotel. Ashford Castle is now world famous and is a member of the exclusive Leading Hotels of the World. The castle includes 83 bedrooms, dining room, bar, drawing room, private dining rooms and a spa. Along with the magnificent gardens and grounds, there is a nine hole golf course on the estate. Activities such as equestrian, falconry, boat trips, and exceptional fishing on the Cong & Lough Corrib are available on the estate. Ashford Castle attracts visitors from around the globe, and former visitors to Ashford include King George V of Britain, Oscar Wilde, John Lennon, President Ronald Reagan, and more recently, Pierce Brosnan and Brad Pitt.
