If you enjoy craft beer, definitely make time for a beer tasting class on Holland America Line during an Alaska cruise!
Sampling Alaskan Brewing Co. Craft Beer on Holland America Noordam.
It’s not as though we need to take a class to sample beer, especially when it’s from Alaskan Brewing Co! We know their beer quite well. But, when on a cruise and in the middle of the ocean during a sea day, it’s a nice way to relax, meet fellow passengers, plus learn some insight about the beer from the ship’s crew leading the event.

While cruising on Noordam from Seward, Alaska to Vancouver, BC, this beer tasting included five Alaskan Brewing Co. beers to sample for only $14.95. We started with the Alaskan White – a wit style ale brewed with spices.

Next was the Alaskan Kolsch – a light and flavorful German kolsch-style ale.

Followed up with Alaskan Amber – an alt-style ale and the most well-known beer from Alaskan Brewing.

Then there were two samples that we had not had the opportunity to taste before; Alaskan Big Mountain Pale Ale (now Jill’s favorite) and Alaskan Husky IPA – Mosaic India Pale Ale (definitely Viv’s new favorite).

We learned about some new beer from Alaskan Brewing Co., we made some new friends during the tasting, and we spent a fun hour doing so.
