WJ Tested: A Day at Sea Aboard Royal Caribbean Adventure of the Seas Enroute to Quebec City, Quebec, Canada
DAILY CRUISE LOG
DAY 9: At sea cruising towards Quebec City
Saturday September 15, 2018 – partly cloudy and 65F
Dinner dress suggestion: Casual
We spent a relaxed morning chilling in our cabin with coffee we’d brought up from Cafe Promenade on deck 5 (a quick run from our cabin).
For breakfast we made it to Giovanni’s Table just before it closed – we had been invited by the Suite Concierge to experience this bonus that is included for suite guests. We certainly enjoyed this – fresh squeezed orange juice, quieter atmosphere, made-to-order hot dishes.
The morning had been sunny and warm with calm seas, but as the afternoon came the clouds came in, temperature dropped significantly and the wind picked up enough to drive the majority of passengers inside to warm up and enjoy the various activities around the ship.
Following lunch in the Windjammer Marketplace we then spent the remainder of the afternoon in the Viking Lounge on deck 14 with our books and laptops. It’s a great place to sit and see if we could spot any whales – we know they’re out there! Alas, no luck today.
We participated in more trivia during the late-afternoon hours, then watched the Royal Caribbean Singers & Dancers production – Can’t Stop The Rock! – in the Lyric Theater before calling it a night.
Another clock change! We gain an hour in the middle of the night as the clocks move back an hour before arriving in Quebec City, Quebec in the morning.
