We love sea days and having one at the beginning of a cruise itinerary is our preference to really start to relax and get in the swing of the cruise. Our second day aboard Royal Caribbean Adventure of the Seas flew by before we knew it – between a variety of trivia games, mini golf, exploring the ship, and some relaxation with a good book, we were completely occupied.

For tonight’s dinner we had a reservation (absolutely necessary) at Giovanni’s Italian Restaurant on Deck 11, and what a treat that was. The intimate and elegant dining space with ocean views had a warm and inviting atmosphere. Service was impeccable even though the restaurant was full.
With an extensive menu, Giovanni’s offered enough variety to please every palate. Giovanni’s is definitely a favorite of ours when we cruise with Royal Caribbean.
Giovanni’s Table – Italian specialty restaurant on Adventure of the Seas.
We shared appetizers of Mozzarella di Buffalo with heirloom tomatoes and pesto, and Tonno Crudo of ahi tuna with garlic chips.

For main courses we had Ossobucco alla Piemontese with creamy polenta, plus Melanzane alla Parmigiana of baked eggplant, San Marzano tomato and mozzarella.
