Rapallo is situated along the Italian Riviera, not too far from the Cinque Terre, Portofino, Santa Margherita Ligure and the large, port city of Genoa.
With beautiful mountains in the backdrop that run down to the cool waters of the Meditteranean Sea, this town is in one of the most picturesque locations on the planet.
Getting thirsty or hungry? Then stop in at one of the cafes where the locals hang-out and enjoy a beer, glass of wine, espresso and panini. Or, grab a delicious slice of pizza and savour all the fresh Italian ingredients.
Do what the locals do and stroll the promenade whilst watching the world go by. Then explore the town with its many antique, gift and artsy stores.
A couple of hotels perfectly situated, with gorgeous views of the harbor and mountains are Hotel Astoria and Hotel Riviera. We stayed at Hotel Astoria and enjoyed friendly service, great continental breakfast and a splendid location. The rooms themselves are basic (not the 4-star standard we’re used to) but very clean.
Although we didn’t stay at the Hotel Riviera, we did check out their facilities and think that it would be our lodging choice for our next visit to Rapallo.
Whatever you do in Rapallo, you won’t want to leave too soon.
