WJ Tested: Hotel Adagio in San Francisco, California
WJ Tested: Hotel Adagio in San Francisco, California
Boutique hotels are where we prefer to stay, and during a visit to San Francisco in California we discovered Hotel Adagio – now one of WAVEJourney’s favorite boutique hotels.
Our double room was spacious, crisp, clean, comfortable, modern and tastefully furnished (we loved the Keurig coffee machine in our guestroom). As with many historic buildings, the bathroom is a tad on the smaller side than most modern hotels.
Things We Liked About Hotel Adagio:
- Historic building
- Great location
- Friendly and professional staff
- Excellent service
- Clean, modern, comfortable guestrooms with top-notch amenities – iPod docking station, Keurig machine, flat-screen TV, Air Conditioning unit
- Reasonably priced
- Lobby bar – good food and drinks at reasonable prices
We found Hotel Adagio provided all the amenities expected in a much larger four-star city hotel. The hotel is situated in a convenient location near Union Square and not more than a block from Starbucks and a number of wonderful restaurants.
With so much to do in San Francisco, we found ourselves sightseeing and exploring the city more than in our hotel room – so for us, being able to easily access the cable cars, shopping, and the theater was perfect.
Make sure to enjoy a cocktail and appetizers in the lobby bar – it is a terrific place for enjoying happy hour specials.
