WJ settled into the manor house ambiance of this 4-star Connemara hotel and immediately felt a sense of peace and relaxation. We quickly realized that two nights stay at Ballynahinch Castle simply would not be long enough… and it wasn’t.

While at Ballynahinch we were surrounded by spectacular scenery in a serene and exquisitely picturesque location. We were treated to professional, friendly and attentive service. For charm, elegance and peace, this enchanting retreat is the ideal respite from the everyday world.

After enjoying our outdoor activities of fly fishing and hiking on the estate grounds, we chose to sit in front of a roaring fire and read a book with our cocktails.
Ballynahinch Castle Pub
Meals in both the Fisherman’s Pub and Owenmore Restaurant were superb, with perfectly cooked and beautifully presented food. A wide selection of hot and cold menu items was available at breakfast, including a full Irish breakfast and the fresh fish of the day.
Ballynahinch Castle Guest Room
Our guest rooms were spacious and comfortably appointed and the view from the bedroom windows provided a spectacular river vista.
It won’t be long before we make another journey to Ireland and return to Ballynahinch Castle!
