WJ Tested: Arbutus Hotel in Killarney, Ireland
From the moment WAVEJourney entered the Arbutus Hotel in Killarney, Ireland until the time we departed, we felt like friends of the family.
Ideally situated in the heart of Killarney, the Arbutus is a small family-run hotel that exudes charm and warmth with helpful friendly service.
The Arbutus Hotel has been a family affair since 1926 when Tim Buckley and his wife, Julia, bought the hotel and set about to turn it into the leader in Killarney hospitality. Grandson Sean and his wife, Carol, are now in charge of keeping that same spirit alive in this unique hotel.
At the Arbutus, guests can expect great value, clean and comfortable rooms and a central location. Don’t miss out on the full Irish breakfast served in the dining room.
Sean was also exceptionally helpful in sharing his favorite secret hideaway spots around the Ring of Kerry.
This is the epitome of Irish hospitality which we had heard so much about and were hoping to experience. Our biggest disappointment was that we were only able to stay for one night!
