Travel Oregon – 24 Hours at Sunriver Resort
Travel Oregon – 24 Hours at Sunriver Resort
Thanks to winning the Epic Brewery Tour Giveaway on Twitter during Central Oregon Beer Week, one of the cool prizes included an overnight stay at Sunriver Resort and entry into the Sunriver Brewfest. As we were definitely going to attend the brewfest, we decided it would be the perfect time to use our night’s lodging at the resort – that way we could totally enjoy sampling the many wonderful craft beers from the various attending breweries. What did we discover during our stay? There are far more activities than we could cover in our 24 hours at Sunriver Resort!
LODGING:
We were incredibly comfortable in the spacious double bed guestroom in the Sunriver River Lodge.

DINING:
Dinner at Meadows at the Lodge and lunch at the Owl’s Nest completely satiated us!

BIKING:
There are more than 400 different bikes for rent at the Sunriver Resort Bike Barn. We set out on cruisers to explore some of the 35 miles of paved bike trails around Sunriver.

9-HOLE PUTTING COURSE:
The 9-hole putting course at Sunriver Lodge affords incredible scenery while providing a fun challenge.

BOCCE BALL:
Bocce ball is one of our favorite pastimes, so we made sure to play on the courts at Besson Commons near Sunriver Resort’s Great Hall.

BOTTOM LINE:
Being based in Central Oregon, this brief getaway affirmed that we need to make a point of visiting Sunriver Resort for a staycation on a regular basis. Although we were only at the resort for 24 hours, our time was filled with fine dining and outdoor activities galore – which was perfect for us to relax and rejuvenate. But, next time we visit Sunriver Resort we’re staying at least 2 nights!
Cheers,
Viv and Jill
