WJ’s Review:
There are so many reasons to love the Tilley Airflo Hat! What with the wide brim that keeps the sun off the face and out of the eyes; the tuckaway neck protector that stops the rays from searing delicate skin; the Insect Shield bug repellent that stops mossies, ticks, no-see-ums and other biting insects from ruining the outdoor experience; the breathable, lightweight (only weighs 4.2 oz) and crushable material that it is made from a mildew resistant form of nylon; along with the wind cord that keeps it in place during windy days and while actively pursuing outdoor adventures of all kinds. This is a hat that should be a part of every outdoor-lovers attire.
WJ has found the Tilley Airflo Hat the perfect companion for numerous adventures, including: a day of canoeing; hiking trips; walking around town; out on safari; river-rafting; hanging out around the campsite; walking or lazing on the beach; spring snow-shoeing on a sunny day; out for a round of golf; working outside; great for travelling the globe.
With the material being so lightweight and crushable, the brim is easy to reshape after the hat has been stuffed into a bag or pack. The only downside we’ve discovered is that the brim is easily blown up or down with a gust of wind – it either gets in our eyes or if it’s blown upwards we look like Art Carney’s character, Ed Norton, on The Honeymooners.
Bottom line:
Who knew a hat could do all that? We absolutely love the Tilley Airflo hat with the tuckaway neck protector and Insect Shield and won’t leave home without them as part of our travel, adventure and daily-use gear.
