Growler Phil’s Brewfest – Central Oregon Beer Week 2014
Growler Phil’s Brewfest – Central Oregon Beer Week 2014
DETAILS:
Growler Phil’s Brewfest was held on Saturday May 24, 2014 at Growler Phil’s and Primal Cuts in Bend, Oregon from 3 – 6 pm. Where else can you spend $10 and get a souvenir tasting mug, 6 tasting tickets (4 oz pour), a hot dog or pulled pork sandwich and live music? Nowhere!
GROWLER PHIL’S BREWFEST:
We thought it was a great deal and loved being able to sample brews from 13 breweries, 2 cider brewers and a kombucha maker!
SETTING:
Growler Phil’s and Primal Cuts share a facility at 1244 NW Galveston Avenue in Bend. Growlers can be filled inside the building and customers can also get their favorite cuts of the best quality meats (awesome sausages, too) and head home for a BBQ. The brewfest was setup in the parking lot at the rear of the building and was soon a very busy and jovial scene.

WJ TOP BEER PICKS:
Again, the IPA’s ruled the tastings for WJ! Viv’s favorite of this event was Citrus Mistress IPA from Hop Valley Brewing Co. and Jill’s was Crooked Finger IPA from Seven Brides Brewing.
Not only was this a great opportunity to sample more incredible craft beers, but it was also a fun time spent catching up with beer buddies from around Central Oregon. And huge kudos go out to Carlos A Perez, Ryan Sharp and Miles Wilhelm and the rest of their team responsible for making Central Oregon Beer Week possible.
Also, have you seen the beertography from Matthew Ward, AKA: Bend Brew Daddy?
There are still lots of events scheduled all this week for Central Oregon Beer Week, so be sure to take a look at them and we’ll see you there.
Cheers,
Viv and Jill
