This is another must-do tour, albeit it comes on an already full day. That being said, think Positively Positano! Once again, you’ve come all this way, you simply can’t pass up the chance to ride along the Amalfi Coast to this sun-drenched setting of splendor.

We met in the hotel lobby at 3:20 PM to catch our 3:30 PM mini-bus which would carry us along the steep and sometimes scary road above this coastline.
Steep and scary drive along Italy’s scenic Amalfi Coast
With two photo stops along the way, it took just over an hour to reach our destination. This has to be one of the safest ways to take in the views of this magnificent coastline. Driving is definitely hair-raising, and we think it is best left in the capable hands of a professional.

Stunning scenery is yours to enjoy on this drive. We suggest sitting on the coastline side (right side) of the bus going out… while you are still full of energy.

We enjoyed about one hour and forty minutes in Positano to explore on our own. Tour Director Mark gave us a chit to enjoy a complimentary pastry at one of the local shops.

Positano is a smallish village that sort of tumbles down the hillside. Shops line the streets which we traipsed down to reach the beach. We enjoyed our pastry, window shopped and kicked our toes in the sand.

It was really a lovely setting down on the beach with all the umbrellas and looking back up the hill and taking in the lines of the buildings challenging Mother Nature.

Soon enough, we hauled ourselves back up to the main road and found our mini-bus at the local garage. We eased into our seats and relaxed into our ride back to Sorrento. The Amalfi Coast was in the bag!
