Tourism Vancouver’s 2013 Dine Out Vancouver Festival
Tourism Vancouver’s 2013 Dine Out Vancouver Festival
Held January 18 – February 3
Dine Out Vancouver is Canada’s largest restaurant festival which has been held annually since 2002 in Vancouver, British Columbia.
During the DOV festival attendees can experience a variety of restaurants, events and workshops around Vancouver. More than 200 restaurants, endless foodie activities, a full schedule of epicurean events, street food trucks, and dozens of hotels offering value-filled packages make this event well-worth attending.
Dine Out Vancouver is an event that will appeal to both locals and visitors that want to explore the eclectic, expansive and creative foodie scene that the city thrives upon. Diners can find a variety of restaurants offering unique and delicious lunch and dinner menus featuring 3-course (or more) pre-fixe menus priced from $18 to $28 to $35.
In 2013 Street Food City was set up outside the Vancouver Art Gallery – with 14 street food trucks and carts participating during a 5-day segment of the DOV event. This event was open to the public between the hours of 10 am and 5 pm and the response was overwhelmingly positive. A wonderful selection of street food was available, ranging from Asian to BBQ to French to grilled Cheese to bacon to pizza to European and priced between $6-$10.
For anyone requiring a hotel room during the festival many hotels participated by offering very reasonably priced DOV rates (between $78 and $138 per night). WJ stayed at the newly remodeled Burrard Hotel and was incredibly happy with the location, hotel amenities and excellent value.
