We can’t believe we’re already wrapping up 9 weeks of travel in Southeast Asia! But if we must leave, at least we get to spend our last 3 nights in the lap of luxury at Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit.
We’re staying on the 25th floor and the views of Bangkok are amazing (although they’re even better from Club Millesime on the 31st floor). Speaking of Club Millesime… we’re so glad we have access to the club lounge and facilities – continental breakfast, afternoon tea, cocktail hour, concierge and butler service being just a few of the niceties.
The breakfast buffet in Voila! Restaurant is everything we would expect from a 5-star hotel. An extensive selection of Asian and Western dishes has us completely satisfied, and although we were very tempted to have meatloaf and roast potatoes, we could not pass up on the chicken noodle soup (local dish) and made-to-order omelettes.
Now it’s time to take a dip in the pool and absorb as much Vitamin D as possible before we head back to winter in North America.
