Wish You Were Here – Postcard From Pho Hoa, Saigon
When in Saigon do what the locals do – eat! Everywhere we turn people are preparing food and eating food. We love it! This city is a foodie paradise.
Pho is one of the staple dishes in the Vietnamese diet. Bowls of steaming broth filled with all sorts of meats and vegetables make for a very hearty and satisfying meal at any time of the day. Pho is eaten for breakfast, lunch, dinner and all other meals in-between. And we can see why. It is delicious!
One of the best pho we’ve eaten was at Pho Hoa at 260C Pasteur, Saigon. Here we sat at long tables and watched how the locals added various condiments to their bowls of pho. And, the price was so cheap – about US$6 for two of us including a beer each.
Happy Travels!
