Our morning started with a cyclo ride from Uniworld River Orchid to the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh. We have a fantastic local guide, Kinal, with us on all excursions in Cambodia and he really knows his stuff – so much knowledge and a great sense of humor to boot!
While at the Royal Palace complex we also visited the Silver Pagoda and were able to see some of the silver floor tiles. All of the buildings were very unique and with exquisite roof tiles in various colors.
The second stop of the morning was at the National Museum, housed in a Khmer-French building from the 1900s. Here we saw Khmer sculptures – probably the finest collection of them in the world.
