Shopping Time! That’s one good option for spending an afternoon of freetime on Uniworld’s Timeless Wonders of Vietnam and Cambodia tour.
We took a ramork (similar to a tuk tuk) and went with a few new friends to the Central Market in Phnom Penh. This is certainly a shopper’s paradise! You can buy anything and everything you can possibly imagine.
Some of the purchases made by our group included silk scarves, clothing (Tommy Hilfiger, Columbia, Calvin Klein, Abercrombie, etc.), hats, sandals and shoes – and dirt cheap. Most items were so inexpensive that it was difficult to barter with the vendors. When a pair of shorts is only $5 and you know you’d pay $50+ anywhere else in the world, what do you do?
