Leaving Tucson in Arizona
Today our drive was from Saddlebrook, Arizona (about 25 miles northeast of Tucson) to Fort Stockton, Texas. During the approximately 600 mile route along I-10 travelling east, we passed by Las Cruces in New Mexico and the sprawling city of El Paso in Texas.
High Winds and Blowing Dust – They Weren’t Exaggerating!
There’s not much out there and the weather was very windy which kicked up lots of dust squalls.

Fort Stockton in Texas
We do recommend staying at Candlewood Suites in Fort Stockton – it was super-clean, comfortable, the service was excellent and the price was right!
