Pink Sand Beach on Harbour Island

By WAVEJourney

One of the most beautiful places we have visited is Harbour Island, near Eleuthera Island in the Bahamas. This small island in the Atlantic Ocean is 50 miles east of Nassau, has only one town (Dunmore Town was the first capital of the Bahamas, and which is over 300 years old), a population of approximately 1,650, is 3 miles long and 1 mile wide, and is famous for the pink sand beaches that span the east coast.

This photo was taken from the Coral Sands Boutique Hotel during an included tour of Harbour Island with Blount Small Ship Adventures. We think it is really a destination that one must experience firsthand to fully appreciate the Wow! factor.
