One of the most unique features we have encountered on a ship was the bow gangway on Grande Mariner, a small ship that is owned and operated by Blount Small Ship Adventures. This patented bow ramp feature was designed by Luther Blount, the company founder. WJ had a chance to experience a bow landing and the Blount Bow Ramp while cruising the Bahamian Out Islands – it was incredible to just walk right out of the ship, into the water and onto the beach.
