Travel Morocco – Traditional Berber Tea Ceremony
Travel Morocco – Traditional Berber Tea Ceremony
During a trip to the north African country of Morocco, WAVEJourney learned all about the art of the traditional Berber Tea Ceremony.
The Berber family that WJ visited lives in the Ourika Valley, located about 30 km from Marrakech.
The Ourika River, which starts in the nearby High Atlas Mountain range, flows into the valley and is the main source of water for the farmers and Berber villagers that live here.
Although, this area is so close to the hustle and bustle of Marrakech, the region is relatively unspoiled and provides a more traditional travel experience for visitors.

This excursion was one of the additional day trips offered during an Insight Vacations Treasures of Spain, Portugal & Morocco tour.
