Visiting Multnomah Falls in Oregon
An Un-Cruise Adventures Included Excursion on the Legacy of Discovery Cruise
By WAVEJourney
Any trip through the Columbia Gorge in Oregon should include a visit to Multnomah Falls. During our Un-Cruise Adventures Legacy of Discovery cruise along the Columbia River, one of the included excursions was such a visit to Oregon’s tallest waterfall.
Multnomah Falls Facts:
- – The falls are located 30 miles east of Portland, Oregon on the Historic Columbia River Highway.
- – The falls have a drop of approximately 620 feet over 2 tiers (upper = 542′ and lower = 69′).
- – The Benson Bridge, built in 1914, is a great viewing point for visitors on foot, and spans the second drop of the falls.
- – The water cascading down the falls originates from natural underground springs on Larch Mountain.
