One of the world’s oldest and largest cemeteries is Père Lachaise Cemetery in the Menilmontant area of Paris, France. This famous cemetery opened in 1804, and is the resting place of some of the greatest names – Jim Morrison, Chopin, Edith Piaf, Sarah Bernhardt, Gertrude Stein, Oscar Wilde, Proust, Colette, and many more.
