One of WJ’s favorite memories from a Uniworld river cruise on the Mekong River in Vietnam and Cambodia was watching the locals go about their daily lives. We were constantly fascinated by how the people lived a very simple existence, worked from dawn until dusk, and had beautiful big smiles when we waved at them as we passed by. The Vietnamese fisherman in this photo gave a quick wave as soon as he had cast his fishing net into the muddy Mekong.
