The lakes in northwestern Italy, especially those bordering Switzerland, are incredibly beautiful and surrounded by quaint towns and villages. WJ visited Baveno on Lake Maggiore during an Insight Vacations Italian Escapade Tour, and we didn’t want to leave! During our time in Baveno we stayed at the delightful 4-star Grand Hotel Dino – which affords splendid views across the lake or to the surrounding mountains.
