WAVEJourney visited Urnes Stave Church in Norway during a 2012 visit to the Fjord Region. This is a UNESCO World Heritage site dating back to the early 12th century, and is the oldest wooden church in Norway. The decorative carvings on the outside of the wooden building were most impressive.
