Palmeral de las Sorpresas in Malaga

The waterfront promenade of Palmeral de las Sorpresas in Malaga, known in English as The Palm Garden of Surprises, proved to be a beautiful place to take a stroll along the harbour during a visit to the city.
We visited Malaga, in the province of Andalucia, during a Holland America Line cruise through the Mediterranean Sea. The port where the ship docked was only a 20-minute walk into the old town, and the Palmeral de las Sorpresas had lots of benches, cafes, restaurants, bars and shops to accommodate locals and visitors alike.
