Lamps above Stone of the Anointing

This photo shows the lamps hanging above the Stone of the Anointing in the Church of Holy Sepulcher. We toured this historic sanctuary during a shore excursion while on a Holland America Line cruise that visited Jerusalem in Israel.
The Stone of the Anointing was where Jesus’ body was wrapped in linen and spices. It is in memory of those that prepared the body for burial – Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathea.
